If we were having coffee, I’d be late because I overslept.
I’d tell you the last few weeks have been the most hectic I can remember, both online and off, but I think things are finally settling down for me. I feel like I’ve been holding my breath since the end of March and I’ve finally broken the surface. Now I’m gasping for breath, lol.
There is so much going on I can’t keep up with it and Diana has a list as long as mine. In fact, I missed a Blog Blitz yesterday, which almost never happens. And there is a fabulous blog party going on right now that I wanted to show up early for, but haven’t had time to look in on yet.
1000 Voices Speaking for Compassion publishes next week, and the theme for this month is “connection.” I’m wanting to write for this one, but I’m not sure at this point if I’ll have time to get it done. Whether I get a post done or not, I’m hosting the linkup, and I am also doing some tweeting for @1000Speak this weekend.
I’ve also joined the A to Z Challenge Road Trip. I’m planning to get started on that this weekend or early next week. My plan at the moment is to visit all the co-hosts first, then start at the bottom of the list and work my way to the top. I’ll load the best finds into @justgeneo‘s twitter queue as I go, and once I get my Twitter accounts set up properly, I may use the Facebook page to share roadtrip links as well.
Diana and I had a long conversation last night for what seemed like the first time in ages. Blogging is a thing we do together. It works better and it’s more fun when we’re able to keep tabs on one another, and since mid-March, we’ve been too busy to do that. Diana’s got a new job, I’m preparing to move, and we both have tons of family stuff going on.
We’ve each just had to do our own thing and keep it running. Our various threads are so busy at this point, there have been days when it was all either of us could do to answer comments and keep writing. That’s not a bad problem for bloggers who value engagement the way we do to have, but it’s good to be back in touch.
And I’d tell you we kicked off a summer blogging project at Comparative Geeks this week. Diana and I are writing about Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series over there on Thursdays for most of the summer, and there’s an easy way for you to join the fun with your own blog. We’ve had this one in the works since late February, and I am very happy to finally have it rolling.
Then I’d ask you what you’ve been up to 🙂
Don’t forget to add your Weekend Coffee Share post to the linkup at Part Time Monster and share it with #WeekendCoffeeShare on Twitter!
It does feel a bit like re-surfacing, doesn’t it, like that first new breath after holding your breath for a while? Feels like that here, too. Lots of busies all over the place, I think. I’m looking forward to the summer, though.

“Coming up for air” is a good thing! I’m glad you’re able to do that now. Enjoy it!

Thanks! I will and I am. Right now I’m composing a couple of dozen jokey tweets to mix in with the 60+ links I’ve got queued to run over the next week. I’m trying to get to 100 saved tweets.

I’ve just had to write a post for July today cause my Muse would not let it go until I penned that one. So then I finished my post for Monday, for the Boobs, Blood and carnage blog-fest and I could not resist click baiting my readers with that one, cause if they are going to make it a blog fest on boobs well…. I may write a post later on why part of me hates the objectifying of boobs and why part of me embraces it.
I will try to get TToT in tomorrow, cause it is the 100th week of the link up. Then I may schedule a post on 1000Speak, but since I’m offline that date …..
🙂

I have no idea whether or not I’ll actually do a 1000Speak post this week or not. I feel as though I should, since the theme is connection and I spend most of my time figuring out clever ways of connecting with people and connecting them to one another, but, I am just not sure what to actually say.

Just write and then re-write if necessary.

It’s always how I feel this time of year. April tends to be a rough month, even under the best circumstances.

Sorry you feel the same way, but it’s nice to know I’m not alone.

It’s strange, but I have the feeling that everyone has been going through the same kind of overbookedness (i guess that isn’t a word) lately and is only slowly managing to find some breathing space.

Part of it for me is the time of year, but yes. Everyone seems to be here with me.

I’m happy we were able to take a few moments to catch up with each other. Take care of yourself 😀

I also plan to start my road trip this week. Haven’t decided definitely on my plan as of yet, though I plan to keep it simple and light.
I’ve made my post at Life & Faith in Caneyhead.

Yeah, I’m keeping it pretty light myself.

I was laptop free for a few days, which meant I got behind. No coffee share for me this weekend, but next weekend for sure, to catch everyone up.

Cool! We’ll be here unless there’s a zombie apocalypse or something. Spent yesterday loading up my @Sourcererblog Twitter account to tweet on a schedule. If I don’t touch it at all for the next week, I’m still tweeting on Monday the 25th, hee hee. 12 Tweets a day, every two hours, around the clock. Setting up the personal account to tweet through four A to Z Challenges now.

Excellent! I’m anticipating Twitter to be my June project (a week of an intensive summer course + two weekend trips before the first week of June means not a lot of time) but I may do some planning during May.

Things do sound really hectic for you Gene’O. I was practically holding my breath as I read this post. It’s good that you have Diana, that you have each other, to support and bounce stuff off each other. I imagine it stops either of you feeling as though you are sinking. And really, no blogger should be feeling like that. You should be doing it because it’s fun.

Absolutely. When it stops being fun, it’s time to move on. Still fun for me. It just got busy all of a sudden.
